Last Day to Reserve Accommodations On-Campus - Sunday, June 9

ASMB workshop registrants have the option of including accommodations in their meeting registration. Rooms have been reserved for the ASMB workshop at the Scarritt Bennet conference facility on the Vanderbilt Campus. Overnight, residence style accommodations are available in three Gothic-style buildings.   All guestrooms offer free Wi-Fi internet connectivity. Televisions and telephones are located in the lounge areas, located within each building.  Guest Rooms are single occupancy with one twin size bed. Each room shares a restroom with the adjoining guestroom. Towels and linens will be provided.  There are no elevators in any of the Guest Halls. If you require a first floor room please let the ASMB office know. Check in is at 3:00pm and Check out is at 10:30am.  Select the meeting registration WITH accommodations for the three nights housing (Wed-Thurs-Fri)  during the workshop. Select this option during meeting registration by Sunday, June 9.

   

Local Hotels

There are several hotels within walking distance of the campus.  Attendees who would like hotel accommodations are welcome to search the local area for the arrangements that best suit their needs. There is no official ASMB arrangement with any hotel.


Airport 

Nashville International airport is the closest for workshop participants who will travel by air.

Local Sites 

Nashville is the capital of  Tennessee and home to Vanderbilt University. Legendary country music venues include the Grand Ole Opry House, home of the famous “Grand Ole Opry” stage and radio show. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and historic Ryman Auditorium are Downtown, as is the District, featuring honky-tonks with live music and the Johnny Cash Museum, celebrating the singer's life.  For things to do in Nashville, check out Visit Music City

 

Getting to Campus

Vanderbilt is located a mile and a half southwest of downtown Nashville and is approximately 4 hours from Atlanta, 3 hours from Birmingham, 2 1/2 hours from Knoxville, 3 hours from Louisville, and 3 hours from Memphis.


Getting to Vanderbilt from Nashville International Airport
Take I-40 west to exit 209A. Turn left onto Broadway. Follow Broadway and veer right to West End Avenue. Allow approximately thirty minutes driving time from the airport to Vanderbilt University.

From the North
I-65 to I-265 South to I-40 East. Take the Broadway/Demonbreun Street exit and turn right onto Broadway. Broadway will become West End Ave. Turn left on 21st Ave. S. and continue to Medical Center Drive. Turn right on Medical Center Drive to access the main parking garages.

From the West
I-40 to I440. Take the first West End Ave. exit and turn left onto Murphy Rd. Turn left again onto West End. Turn right onto 21st Ave. and continue to Medical Center Drive. Turn right onto Medical Center Drive to access the main parking garages.

From the East
I-24 to I-40. Take the Broadway/Church St. exit and turn left onto Broadway. Broadway will become West End Ave. Turn left on 21st Ave. S. and continue to Medical Center Drive to access the main parking garages.

From the South
I-65 to I-440. Take the West End Ave. exit and turn right onto West End. Turn right onto 21st Ave. and continue to Garland Ave. Turn right on Garland Ave. to access the main parking garages.
